“The Roles We Play” was one theatrical performance comprised of two straight plays: The Actor’s Nightmare (Christopher Durang) and Walrus in the Body of a Crocodile (M.J. Kaufman). Although two separate pieces, these shows were made up of the same five cast members, at their heart, both explorations of, well, the roles we play. In our jobs, families, and social spheres, there may not be a script telling us what to say, but there is certainly pressure from all angles to perform in a way that is expected of us.
